#Deactivate automatic control

If an actuator channel is simultaneously controlled by a push button and an automatic function (such as a KNX timer or a KNX movement detector), selecting **Automatic control deactivation** deactivates the automatic function and executes the button command.

Link the 1-bit object **Automatic control deactivation** of the button to the corresponding object of the actuator channel. Value 1 deactivates the automatic function and value 0 reactivates it.

#Application example: Programmed switching of external lighting
The external lighting lights up automatically each evening at a precise time and switches off later. For special events, such as a garden party, the lighting should remain on for longer. In this case, the **Automatic deactivation** function allows the programming to be deactivated for that evening with a single press of a button. Then the button just has to be pressed again later to reactivate the programming for the next day.
